Students can earn extra points to boost their final report card average by doing extra credit assignments in Math and Science. Students will receive up to 10 points(depending on work) on their final average. All work is due on Week 8, the week before the end of the 9 weeks to give enough time to grade, present and record.
Math:
Students will need to create a booklet, typed or handwritten, using comparing and ordering of fractions. The story should be narrated following a story line and should include illustrations. The booklet can be in a spiral, composition book or stapled booklet.
Science:
Students need to create a technology powerpoint presentation or a typed information project on the topic of Oort Cloud, Kuiper Belt, and black. Students will present to students in class and will need to include friendly data that includes illustrations and facts that are current. Students may use NASA.gov or www.kidsastronomy.com.
All extra credit projects are due on Dec. 17th.
