January 19, 2010 - 10th Annual Katy Tiger Classic

Mr. Murphy and Ms. Lopez are very pleased to be bringing back victorious results on behalf of the Travis Debate Team from the 10th Annual Katy Tiger Classic over the weekend.  
 
Scores of students from 34 schools from all over the country competed in speech and debate events at this tournament.  
 
6 students from Travis competed, and 4 of them came home with trophies as finalists in their debate events:  
 
The team of: Neal Singer & Miguel Patino reached Quarterfinals in Cross-Examination Debate,  
 
While the team of Joe Ceja-Duran &  
Zuleyma Serrano finished in 3rd Place as  
Semi-Finalists in Public Forum Debate.  
 
Thus, both sets of debaters are now well on their way to qualifying for the prestigious Texas Forensic Association STATE TOURNAMENT in March!!
