Wooten Elementary School
Campus Facts
Mission Statement
Wooten educators, parents and community members will create a nurturing and safe environment so that students become responsible, life-long learners who reach their highest potential. Wooten’s Dual Language Program provides an enriched course of study that develops bilingualism, biculturalism, and bi-literacy so that our students will be academically prepared for college and careers. All our students are challenged to develop their intelligence and their academic skills by engaging in rigorous tasks that challenge them to think and actively apply their learning. It is a process that promotes the physical, mental and emotional development of our students as life-long learners. School Goals
Wooten students will demonstrate gains in academic achievement as documented by the individual Texas Learning Index and Austin Independent School District standards. Major Programs and Initiatives
Wooten Elementary School is a Recognized School in the State of Texas. We are a diverse learning community with a rich mix of languages and cultures, where students, parents, staff and community partners work together to ensure the academic success of our students. Our campus functions as a dual language learning environment and all of our educational programs are coordinated to insure both English only and bilingual students receive quality instruction.
