Mission Statement

The Mission of Oak Springs Elementary in partnership with parents, is to create a Professional Learning Community that will foster the social and emotional well being of all scholars, while promoting exceptional academic standards aimed at providing all learners opportunities for higher education and productive employment.

School Goals

Increase Student Achievement in Reading, Math, and Writing Utilize teaching strategies and research that access multiple intelligences and all modalities of student learning. Improve Citizenship and Social Skills Implement an effective schoolwide discipline plan. Implement an effective schoolwide citizenship plan for students. Increase Parental Involvement Communicate consistently and positively with parents. Involve parents regularly in school activities that increase student achievement. Implement and evaluate an incentive plan to reward parents and students for parental involvement in school activities. Develop, implement, and evaluate the After School Program. Increase Student Attendance Implement an effective plan to improve attendance.
