Mission Statement

The mission of Bryker Woods Elementary School is to educate all students through an enriched differentiated curriculum in a cooperative and collaborative manner so they become successful, responsible citizens.

Bryker Woods Elementary School was rated Exemplary (highest rating) by the Texas Education Agency for the 2007-08 school year. Such ratings are based on student achievement as measured on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (T.A.K.S.) in grades 3 - 6 and on our students' average daily attendance.

Approximately half of our students attend this school on a transfer basis - coming from all parts of the city - making Bryker Woods Elementary School a real school of choice!

School Goals

All students will be engaged in learning opportunities that meet their academic needs and interests.

Our faculty, staff, students and parents will participate in Austin High School Vertical Team plans and activities related to student achievement, curriculum alignment and transition.
