AISD UpClose is your opportunity to learn about the Austin School District. Through monthly meetings, you will learn about the District's infrastructure, programs, and services, and understand the District's challenges and opportunities. Each month, AISD UpClose classes will meet at various district sites to have an "inside look" at key programs.

AISD UpClose graduates will be challenged to become leaders and advocates for the District, to volunteer for service on committees and task forces, to speak up when misinformation is circulating, and to encourage other parents and community members to get informed and involved.

The next AISD UpClose class for school year 2011-12 begins September 2011 and ends May 2012. Applications will be accepted April 1 through May 13, 2011.
