This page will assist with the routes to certification, additional services provided through the Texas Education Agency, and NCLB information. This website will explain the requirements and application process for each certification route. **Austin ISD encourages all Out-of-State and Out-of-Country applicants to apply immediately for the Review of Credentials. This process through the Texas Education Agency could take up to four weeks.** Teachers Already Certified in TexasAll teachers employed with Austin ISD must hold a Texas Certificate and have a copy on file with the Office of Human Resources. The certificate must be valid for employment in Texas public schools.
