Austin Independent School District is committed to continuous improved the sustainability and energy efficiency of all of their facilities. AISD follows City of Austin Green Building Program guidelines to build new facilities or retrofits. All of our new buildings and major retrofits have to qualify for minimum of two star ratings by Austin Energy Green Building Program. AISD also try to exceed all of the current building energy codes by at least 15%. All of the AISD campuses have been rated by Department of Energy Energy-Star Program ahead of City of Austin mandated deadlines. |
