The Construction Management Department is responsible for the design, construction and maintenance of the District's buildings and grounds and the management of its real property. The Construction Management Department is comprised of three different groups: Service Center, Office of Plant Improvements and the Bond – New Construction department.

The responsibilities of the Service Center include:

• Maintenance and repair of existing Heating / Air Conditioning, electrical and plumbing equipment in all of the district's facilities.
• Management of Indoor Air Quality, Hazardous Materials and Pest control.
• Non-student transportation vehicles (maintenance vehicles, equipment and drivers' education cars).
• The placement and training of custodians.

The responsibilities of the Office of Plant Improvements include:

• Facilitating service requests, physical plant improvements, renovations and remodeling, including re-roofing and roof repairs, parking lot and site drainage improvements, replacement of floor finish materials, major renovations to air conditioning, plumbing and electrical systems and the construction interior improvements required to facilitate changes in educational programs.
• Managing the relocation and construction of portable classroom buildings.

The responsibilities of Bond - New Construction include:

• Planning and managing activities related to Capital Improvements Bond Programs for major renovations to existing facilities and the construction of new facilities.
• Locating sites for construction of new facilities.
• Establishing and maintaining building system standards to help assure consistent and uniform construction and building equipment.
