2004 Bond Program Scope of Work

• At field house, improve perimeter storm/site drainage
• At baseball stadium, relocate outfield area drains
• Repair/resurface track
• Replace natural turf with a synthetic playing surface
• At football stadium, construct dumpster pad
• Replace fencing and backstop at baseball field and fencing at football field
• Install automatic controls for irrigation system at baseball field
• At football stadium, patch and repair concrete structure, and patch, repair and reseal paving at various locations under grandstands
• At baseball stadium, refurbish press box, main entry and dugouts
• At field house and football stadium storage areas, replace two roll-up doors
• At football stadium, repair press box roof, ceilings and walls
• At field house, renovate one each men’s and women’s restrooms for accessibility compliance
• At field house, modify one concession counter for accessibility compliance
• Replace deteriorated ventilation system controls and equipment
• Replace ventilation system, cooling tower and boilers
• Replace emergency egress lighting
• Replace wooden pole lighting system at baseball stadium
• At field house, replace selected plumbing fixtures
• Install safety and security enhancements

2008 Bond Program Scope of Work

• Install automatic power factor correction and harmonic distortion mitigation system.

Phases

Current Schedule Budget General Environmental
Renovations. Turf replacement at the football field and track, lighting at the baseball field, accessibility renovations at the Field House, addition to accommodate athletic offices. Complete. Over budget due to increased site work cost required by Sunset Valley.* Funding for athletic office expansion from sale of Rio Grande property. Overhangs, window tint, use of low VOC (volatile organic compound) materials, light colored finishes, environmentally friendly refrigerants, high efficiency lighting system, LED exit signs, lighting controls, water saving equipment and fixtures, building system commissioning.
Install new cooling tower. Complete. Over budget.* Replaced with high efficiency unit.
Install automatic power factor correction and harmonic distortion mitigation system. Construction phase. Under budget.* Grouped with 10 other facilities.

*Budget for the 2004 and 2008 Bond Programs are reported as both individual project budgets and overall program budget. While specific projects may be over or under budget, the 2004 and 2008 Bond Programs remain well within the total program budget.
