2004 Bond Program Scope of Work

• Replace canopy light fixtures
• Construct additional parking spaces at selected locations
• Install additional exterior security lighting
• Improve storm/site drainage at building perimeter
• Construct concrete dumpster pads
• Replace deteriorated exterior doors and hardware
• Repair/replace approximately 40,000 square feet of built-up roofing
• Replace deteriorated windows in main corridor and seal perimeter of selected classroom windows
• Renovate two student restrooms
• Refurbish/replace sink cabinets in 100- and 200-classroom wings
• Replace damaged ceiling tile in selected areas
• Replace damaged ceilings in student group restrooms and replace exhaust fans in classroom restrooms
• Replace sanitary sewer lines serving 100- and 200-wings
• Install playslab cover
• Install safety and security enhancements

• Cafeteria and kitchen improvements

Cafeteria renovations: modify/add hand was sink(s), replace ceiling enclose exposed ductwork and conduit. Complete. Over budget due to unanticipated additional work required by the Health Department and the Industrial Waste Department.* Grouped with three other schools. Project delayed due to City of Austin inspections. Additional scope required includes grease traps, view ports and revised kitchen layouts.
Install additional exterior security lighting; construct concrete flumes in courtyard between 100 and 200 wings to divert storm water; replace deteriorated exterior doors and hardware; replace approximately 40,000 square feet of built-up roofing; replace deteriorated windows in main corridor and seal perimeter of various classroom windows; replace sanitary sewer lines serving 100 and 200 wings; replace canopy light fixtures; construct parking lot with exterior security lighting; construct concrete dumpster pads; construct pair of accessible student toilets; refurbish/replace sink cabinets in 100 and 200 classroom wings; replace stained/damaged ceiling tile; replace damaged ceilings in student group restrooms; replace deteriorated/non-functioning exhaust fans in classroom restrooms. Complete. Within budget.* Paired with Summit Elementary School project. Roofing issues addressed. Rains delayed start of work. Administration area complete with remainder over classroom wings bid as a separate projectl. Austin Energy Green Building strategies will be employed.
