2004 Bond Program Scope of Work

• Reseal parking lots and drives
• Replace damaged exterior light fixtures and install additional exterior security lighting
• Improve storm/site drainage at building perimeter and in under-floor crawl space
• Repair/replace irrigation system
• Replace exterior ceiling/soffit beneath 200-classroom wing
• Replace deteriorated exterior doors, frames and hardware
• Repair/replace cracked exterior plaster walls and install new sealants at expansion joints
• Repair/replace approximately 15,000 square feet of built-up roofing over the 200-classroom wing
• Expand library reading room into adjacent restroom space
• Replace deteriorated cabinets in classrooms
• Replace damaged ceilings in selected areas
• Refinish/replace deteriorated interior doors and hardware
• Replace deteriorated exhaust fans
• Add electrical circuits and outlets in computer lab, teachers’ workroom and health services area
• Provide egress and exit lighting and improve general lighting levels in corridors and other selected areas
• Replace deteriorated water and sanitary sewer lines and other plumbing fixtures and trim in various locations
• Construct new student restrooms
• Enclose walkway between 100- and 200-classroom wings and gym
• Renovate administration area
• Install playslab cover
• Install safety and security enhancements

2008 Bond Program Scope of Work

• Technology upgrades
• Cafeteria and kitchen improvements
• Replace dishwasher

Repair/replace approximately 15,000 square feet of built-up roofing. Reseal parking lots and drives. Repair/ replace irrigation system. Replace deteriorated exterior doors, cracked exterior plaster walls, and classroom cabinets. Expand library reading room. Provide egress and exit lighting and improve general lighting levels in corridors and other selected areas. Replace deteriorated water and sanitary sewer lines, and other plumbing fixtures. Construct new student restrooms. Enclose walkway between 100- and 200-classroom wings and gym. Install playslab cover Install additional exterior security lighting and safety and security enhancements. Complete. Within budget.* Additional heating and air conditioning upgrades were added to project. Reflective roof coatings and additional roof insulation were provided for roof replacement work. Received rebates from Austin Energy for energy efficient improvements.
Cafeteria/kitchen renovations. Complete. Under budget.* Grouped with work at eight other schools.
Replace dishwasher. Complete. Grouped with work at eight other schools. Old equipment being replaced by high efficiency unit.
Repair/replace gym and auditorium heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment. Substantially complete. Grouped with four other schools.

*Budget for the 2004 and 2008 Bond Programs are reported as both individual project budgets and overall program budget. While specific projects may be over or under budget, the 2004 and 2008 Bond Programs remain well within the total program budget.
