2004 Bond Program Scope of Work

• Repave service drive with concrete and construct dumpster pad
• Install additional exterior security lighting
• Repair/replace approximately 40,000 square feet of built-up roofing
• Construct permanent walls between kindergarten classrooms
• Repair/refurbish casework in selected classrooms
• Repair/replace interior doors and thresholds in 300-classroom wing
• Renovate/refurbish student group and faculty restrooms
• Modify existing ventilation unit serving administration area
• Replace ventilation unit serving cafeteria
• Install emergency egress and exit lighting
• Replace electrical switchgear and panelboards
• Replace grease traps serving kitchen
• Replace domestic water and sanitary sewer lines serving kitchen
• Install playslab cover
• Install safety and security enhancements

2008 Bond Program Scope of Work

• Technology upgrades
• Replace heating, ventilation and air conditioning system equipment in the administration area
• Replace windows in 300-classroom wing
• Cafeteria and kitchen improvements
• Replace dishwasher

Phases

Current Schedule Budget General Environmental
Cafeteria renovations: Modify/add hand wash sink, replace ceiling materials. Complete. Over budget due to unanticipated additional work required by Health Department and Industrial Waste Department.* Grouped with three other schools. Additional scope required included grease traps, view ports and revised kitchen layouts.
All projects as described in scope of work. Complete. Within budget.* Existing on-site detention will be utilized to allow engineered release of storm water into larger area drainage system. ventilation replacement units will be high efficiency equipment, and will be commissioned to ensure proper operation and efficiency. Also, water saving plumbing fixtures will lower water usage.
Repair and replace roofing. Complete. Within budget.* A modified bitumen roof with a white granular surface will be installed on roof replacements to lower cooling requirements and extend the life of the roof. New replacement of roof system will provide increased thermal efficiency and solar reflectivity.
Replace heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment at 300-classroom wing. Complete. Over budget.* Grouped with project at two other schools. Window replacement improves building energy efficiency. High energy-efficient equipment will be specified for this project.
Building envelope improvements. Complete. Under budget.* Grouped with project at Reily Elementary School.

*Budget for the 2004 and 2008 Bond Programs are reported as both individual project budgets and overall program budget. While specific projects may be over or under budget, the 2004 and 2008 Bond Programs remain well within the total program budget.
