Welcome to the webpage for the "You're Worth More Than a Million," Austin ISD Dropout Prevention Initiative.

The purpose of this initiative is to increase student attendance and reduce the number of dropouts by educating our students, parents, staff, and the Austin community about these important issues.

We want our children to get a good education and be able to reach their full potential in life. Making sure that students attend school everyday, ensures that they will get the most out of their education.

Helping our students succeed will also strengthen our future workforce by providing them with the skills, knowledge, and preparation for a secure and promising future.

Teens Working to Be Part of the Solution- "Teens Talk"

Students at Eastside Memorial High Schools participating in a TEA Dropout Reduction Collaboration grant agree to participate in a Teen Talk Show titled Panther Speaks. Teens research, write, edit and assist in the production of talk show segments that address issues that impact student high school graduation rates. The first show addressed reasons why students may drop out of school, the consequences of the decision, and types of supports teens need to help make better choices.
