Positive Behavior Support is a preventative and pro-active process of developing, implementing, aligning, and maintaining systems that create a positive climate that is conducive to learning for all students and maximizes school safety. PBS engages school personnel and families in working together to provide a continuum of support for all learners. 2. How does a school become a Positive Behavior Support School? Administrators, staff members, and or parents who are interested in learning more about Positive Behavior Support for their campus should contact the coordinator, Jane Nethercut, at 414-0196. Each year interested schools are engaged in a readiness process, which insures administrative, staff and parent support and provides information about the basic concepts in Positive Behavior support. 3.
