Texas College Preparation Program (TCPP)

State-Funded College Entrance Exams for Grade 11

Funding is available for the 2010-2011 school year that allows approximately 60 percent of 11th grade students who are home schooled or enrolled in a Texas public school district or charter school the opportunity to take ONE college entrance examination in late spring or early summer 2011 at the state's expense. Students may register for ONE exam, either the ACT or the SAT, and the state will pay the cost of their regular registration fees to the extent that funding is available.

Students must obtain a TCPP exam voucher in order to register for a state-funded exam. Home-schooled students may request a voucher from TEA by sending an email request to CollegePrepProgram@tea.state.tx.us. Requestor should use "Home School Voucher Request" as the subject line. Vouchers will be distributed to home-schooled students on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning in early January 2011.
