Summer High School FAQs
How many absences can a student have in summer school? How does a student qualify for "In District" Tuition? Proof of residency may be required in the form of a utility bill or mortgage/lease papers in the parent's name. If you are not sure if you live in the District, click here to search for your address. How long is each class? How many courses can a student take per session? Will transportation be provided for summer school students? When is summer graduation? Which summer school site should I attend? How do I pay for summer school tuition? You can pay with a credit card (Master Card or VISA) during any registration. A $5 processing fee will be added for all credit/debit card transactions. You can also pay with cash or money order during On-Site registration. You cannot pay with a check. No checks will be accepted. Can I register for a course that says "for Credit Recovery"? Can a student switch from one course to another? What do I do if I need to cancel my registration and get a refund? Refund requests for session 1 are due no later than June 15. Refund requests for session 2 are due no later than July 14. No refund requests will be accepted after July 14, 2010 I am on the free or reduced lunch program. Do I have to pay for summer school? Which session of summer school should I take? The second session will cover the second half of the course (example: Algebra 1B). Student should check with their counselor to ensure they register for the right course.
