Driver's Ed
Driver Education Theory

This course fulfills the driver education theory requirement for students to earn their driver's license under the age of 18. Upon completion, students will be able to apply for a learner's permit to begin behind-the-wheel instruction. This course is not for credit and does not include behind-the-wheel instruction.

Driver's Ed Eligibility

This class is open to students between the ages of 15 and 18. Students who are 14 may register provided they will turn 15 by the end of the course. Students over 18 may only register if they are still in high school.

Driver's Ed Attendance

Students may not miss more than two days of class. Any absences must be made up. It is the student's responsibility to make arrangements with their instructor to make up any missed classes.

Class cost: $105.00

Driver's Ed Payment

Payment must be made in full when registering for class.

Payment can be made by cash, check or money order payable to AISD, or credit/debit card (Visa or MasterCard). Personal checks will not be accepted.

A $5.00 processing fee will be added to payments made by credit or debit card.

Summer school tuition vouchers cannot be used for Driver Education.

Driver's Ed Registration

Registration will be not be accepted on the first day of class or at summer school registration.

Walk-in registration can be paid with cash (exact change only), check or money order.

Driver's Ed Cancellation/Refund Policy

If you choose to drop a class, the class fee will be refunded in full when you cancel your registration by 5 pm, June 5, 2012. No refunds will be given after the start of class.

To cancel your registration, call 414-0145.

In the event that we must cancel a class, you will be notified at least two business days in advance and a full refund will be issued.

All refunds will be paid by check; no cash refunds will be issued .
